Compensation : $90,000 - $140,000

Position : Database Administrator (DBA)
Inceed has partnered with a great eLearning company to help find a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team!
This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level DBA to work closely with the development team on enhancing the data model for both OLTP and reporting systems, with a focus on data quality, analysis, and performance. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for supporting and tuning production systems, with an emphasis on working within an AWS environment. This role provides the chance to grow and collaborate with a team dedicated to supporting a global web-based application.
Responsibilities :

• Ensure the development, performance, integrity, and security of database systems
• Identify and resolve database performance issues such as slow queries and inefficient indexing
• Maintain and support data models across OLTP and reporting platforms
• Perform data analysis to ensure data integrity
• Develop database patches for new functionality (DDL and DML)
• Assist in creating and populating non-production environments
• Support production infrastructure and application deployments
• Conduct security reviews and perform database upgrades and maintenance
• Research and recommend emerging database technologies
• Participate in on-call support as needed

Required Qualifications & Experience :

• Experience working with PostgreSQL databases
• Knowledge of AWS RDS / Aurora
• Ability to maintain database integrity and security
• Proficiency in developing DML, DDL, and other database functions
• Experience with storage, backup, and archiving procedures
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of git for version control
• Strong communication skills and customer-facing attitude
• Independent, self-motivated team player with a desire to learn new technologies
• Experience with Linux (RHEL) server environments
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Python, Shell, or PHP
• Familiarity with AWS monitoring tools and DBAdmin or similar platforms
