Job Summary
The job of Director of Transportation is done for the purpose/s of directing transportation
programs and services; providing information and serving as a resource to others; achieving defined objectives by planning, evaluating, developing, implementing, and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines; and serving as a member of the leadership team.
This job reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services or designee.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES
This is a open and promotional recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test or performance test and a structured oral interview.
To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each test part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each test part. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future permanent and substitute vacancies.
