Position Summary:
Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials, tools, parts and supplies. Works with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability and delivery schedule. Takes an active role in feasibility meetings and sales and customer service inquiries.
Key Tasks
- Coordinate with various departments related to purchased components, resins and MRO items.
- Obtains quotes from suppliers for materials.
- Issues purchase orders to suppliers for materials.
- Establish new supplier relationships.
- Set up new suppliers
- Provide support to planning and purchasing.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Obtain cost savings for purchased items.
- Comply with all QMS and EMS procedures and work instructions as they relate to your job description.
Knowledge/Skills /Abilities
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Strong math skills
- Ability to review contracts
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 3-5 years related experience
- Knowledge of purchasing laws
- Some related college course work
Required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear.
