About our group:

Seagate Technology is seeking a test process engineering intern for its development and process architecture team in Longmont, Colorado Design Center. This is a technical position with broad responsibility to work with mentors in the group to develop and advance the manufacturing test process solutions for the best-in-class Cloud hard disk drives.

About the role - you will:

  • Design and implementation of software and firmware test process solutions for the newest technologies in hard drive manufacturing. Incorporation of these solutions into the early phase of product development cycle by performing integration, testing, failure analysis and resolution, and drive performance characterization.
  • Significant interaction and coordination with other design engineering functions that result in successful delivery of cross-functional designs.
  • Delivery of innovative architectural solutions that serve as backbone for test process software and firmware.

About you:

  • The candidate should be hands-on with a proven ability to debug software and firmware issues - all directed towards identifying failure root cause and driving corrective action.
  • This is a highly collaborative position requiring excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to conceive and develop solutions to complex engineering problems.

Your experience includes:

  • Python and/or C expertise and familiarity with source code control systems such as Perforce is highly desirable.
  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master'sdegree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or Computer Science and returning to classes in Fall 2025.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $24 - $35/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Seagate also offers Interns paid time off, including 12 holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave. The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
