Position Summary: Serves guests by providing information to help in beverage and food selections; presenting ordered choices; maintaining bar ambiance and delivers an above expectations experience to guests.

- Interacts with guests while preparing beverages; pours wine and beer in proper glass wear; mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Helps guests select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering specific beers, wines, and cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; answering food preparation questions
- Transmits orders to kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
- Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from the kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments
- Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
- Maintains service bar by pouring beer and wine, and making drinks for all tables in the restaurant
- Maintains bar top by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling drinks; being alert to patron needs
- Continues to update tabs; obtains revenues by totaling charges; accepting payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
- Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; thanking and inviting patrons to return
- Maintains a clean stocked bar and all related closing and opening duties
- Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies; checks ID to ensure legal drinking age
- Other duties as directed

- Minimum one year bartending experience; brewpub experience preferred
- Must have or obtain a bartending license
- Relevant training certificate is a plus
