Summary
We are seeking a "best in class" Packager. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations. Not only will your efforts allow us to achieve organizational efficiency, but you will also nurture the pleasant work environment our people love.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) This is a safety sensitive position.
• Operate assigned equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner to ensure the quality of the product being made.
• Perform minor maintenance duties on assigned equipment to ensure equipment upkeep.
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment or process to ensure that a quality product is being produced in the most efficient way possible.
• "Set up" equipment and production lines based off product recipe sheets for the different products that are produced.
• Maintain product quality through continues inspections, adjustments, measurements, and quality control checks.
• Communicate issues related to equipment performance, product quality, and department safety to supervisor.
• Perform regular housekeeping duties on assigned equipment, assigned work area, and within assigned department.
Skills and Experience Required for Success
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined
• Able to multi-task (operate various sections of equipment at once)
• Able to stand, squat, bend and lift for up to 10 hours a day.
• Able to use basic hand tools and take various measurements of products.
• Able to perform basic mechanical duties.
• Ability to clearly communicate issues with equipment and/or process.
• Attention to details and the ability to problem solve.

Education
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6months-1 year of related experience.
