PURCHASING ANALYST

The ideal candidate is responsible for consolidating/reducing the company’s vendor base, reducing expenses, and leveraging our expenditures across multiple categories

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Work with current and potential vendors to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Track and maintain Lowes, Home Depot, Staples and other supply orders placed either by the store/DC or by one of the departments here at Air Trans.
• Code and approve expense invoices, petty cash, stamps and expense reports for stores.
• Place Orders for tagging supplies, special print projects, identify Works, AFI merchandising, inventory supplies, DC supplies, radios/headphones, toner cartridges.
• Approve and issue a purchase order to vendors.
• Work requires following a limited variety of clearly prescribed standard practices involving application of rules, processes and procedures.
• Problems are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, and general precedent and practices.
• Oversee, issue, collection and maintenance of WM contracted dumpsters and garbage compactors.
• Other duties as assigned, essential or otherwise.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES :

• High School diploma
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn in-house computer programs.
• Project/Process Management
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer/Technical
