About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use): 11

The Team:
As a member of the S&P Global Market Intelligence Technology team, you will work with a group of intelligent and ambitious engineers. The team is responsible for the architecture, design, development, quality, and maintenance of the next-generation real-time financial data web platform. Other responsibilities include transforming product requirements into Technical Design/Implementation & writing technical requirements.

Responsibilities and Impact:
Contribute to S&P Global's data federation capability by designing and operating GraphQL services.

  1. Work with subject matter experts and architects to improve our data service offerings used within the organization.
  2. Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions.
  3. Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates.
  4. Account for possible project challenges on constraints including risks, time, resources, and scope.
  5. Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor the progress of initiatives.
  6. Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $178,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Computer Science or similar degree.
  2. 7+ years of Full Stack significant experience in Application Development.
  3. Strong command in C#, ASP.NET Core, LINQ, Entity Framework, Restful Services, HTML 5, CSS, XML/XSLT, jQuery, TSQL (SQL Server) and query optimization techniques.
  4. 2+ years of experience developing customer-facing middle tier services using GraphQL.
  5. 1+ year of Experience in ReactJS and modern HTML5 frontend technologies.
  6. Strong experience in CI/CD technologies using Azure DevOps YAML pipelines or GitHub Actions.
  7. Experience in implementing Unit Tests for C# and JavaScript frameworks.
  8. Ability to work with multi-functional and remote Agile teams including code reviews and feedback to engineers.
  9. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in Apollo GraphQL Federation.
  2. Azure DevOps Certification.
  3. Experience with Docker, Terraform, etc. is a plus.
