Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Overview
Pantheon Data has a need for a Naval Architect that is looking to continue their maritime experience with an awesome team. This candidate will work within the Ship Design Team to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard on a variety of acquisition and sustainment projects.
Required Skills and Experience
- Conduct, witness, and document tests including stability, speed, power, maneuvering, and seakeeping trials;
- Experience with naval architecture software solving complex problems regarding hull design;
- Experience with corrosion principles of metals for surface assets and boats;
- Knowledge of USN, USCG, IACS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Experience / Certification Requirement
- 6 years of Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering designing functional internal and topside arrangements for marine vessels, preparation of functional studies of stability and safety, studies and calculations for determination of machinery.
- 1+ year federal ship or boat building required.
- DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.
- PE, PMP, DHS SELC, or DHS PM preferred.
Education
BS or MS in a Technical, Engineering, or Marine field
Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Work Location
Hybrid - two (2) days a week at USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
