Position Summary Information
Summary
Performs analytical review and reconciliation procedures on financial information and transactional data and assists in the preparation of monthly financial reports and annual financial statements.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Financial Reconciliation and Analysis: Prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliation and analysis on various financial accounts to support financial reporting for consolidated, university affiliates, and departmental units for the University. Works with management to ensure financial information is reasonable, accurate and aligned with the University's financial reporting needs.
Financial Inquiry Response: Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data. Prepares and submits journal entries with appropriate support.
Compliance and Audit Support: Ensures that the University is compliant with all University, federal, state, and local policies and procedures. Prepares documentation and analysis and acts as liaison with auditors for annual financial statement audit.
Miscellaneous Duties: Maintains thorough understanding of various ERP modules from a functional perspective. Maintains job knowledge by keeping current with university policies and accounting standards and practice. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting. Minimum of three years of accounting experience. Knowledge of FASB and GASB reporting requirements and financial ERP systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.

Department Specific Information
Starting Salary Range: $52,087 - $61,637, commensurate with experience
