Description

The Health Informatics Analyst III plays a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights at UCLA Health and Health Sciences. In this position, you will gather business needs, document requirements, and organize complex clinical, financial, and operational data from multiple sources using standard programming languages. Your work will culminate in meaningful information, comprehensive reports, and compelling visualizations that are essential to our stakeholders.

This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least twice a week or as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the "home office" location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.

Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $92,600 - $202,200 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range.

Qualifications

Required:

  1. At least 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare organization.
  2. Equivalent experience in a programming/analytic/information systems role, with an emphasis on SQL programming.
  3. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional judgment and discretion in interacting with physicians and senior management on sensitive political and confidential issues.
  5. Proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database management and business intelligence software.

Preferred:

  1. One or more Epic Clarity Data Model certifications.
  2. Knowledge of current issues in data management and SQL particularly in a healthcare environment including quality measurement, outcomes studies, healthcare finance, and patient safety.
