Mid-sized women-owned education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks an attorney to join its Litigation and Board Ethics, Transparency and Accountability practice groups. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of experience, including the below qualifications:
- Representation of public entities in litigation including in civil writs
- Experience with governance and accountability issues including open meeting and public records requirements
- Excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
- Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities
- Experience presenting before governing boards, preferred
- Prior school district representation is a plus
- Admission to the California State Bar
The expected salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $175,000. The actual base salary offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
