Role:
This role involves substantial accounting, computer, and analytical skills as well as attention to detail. The primary responsibility of this position is to build, update, and verify child support obligations on the financial accounting database for the child support services department cases. It can also involve management of assigned child support cases within the Tribal Child Support program, with responsibility for activities associated with the establishment, enforcement, and/or modification of child support orders and obligations. This position provides eligible Native Americans with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) services, which assists in plan development, determines eligibility of TANF customers, and networks with professional colleagues staying current on community resources available to TANF customers.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
MINIMUM : One to two years of experience in a finance or accounting position.
PREFERRED : Three to five years of experience
Education:
MINIMUM: Associates degree in the field of Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in the field of Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting

Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions.
Knowledge :
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
