Drive execution of the Marine strategy, manage the relationship with assigned accounts in the territory, deploying customer orientated offerings for all aspects of Caterpillar Marine’s integrated sales and service business. Execute strategic initiatives to achieve sales, services and parts growth targets. Understand and report customer activities in the territory, understand market changes and communicate changes to Cat Marine leadership. Interact with dealer’s sales and aftermarket leadership, Authorized Marine Accounts and customers. Keep track of OE and Aftermarket competitive activities and generate market programs to grow Caterpillar OE and Aftermarket sales in the assigned territory. Work with the Marine Industries Team Segment Managers and Caterpillar other Marine Account Managers to manage leads and transactions with regional key accounts and Global Key Accounts. Develop expertise in Caterpillar Marine OE and Aftermarket products. Drive sales strategies for multi-territory projects, drive sales strategy execution though Dealers, customers and other Caterpillar personnel. Administer company processes, systems and methodologies, identify, analyze, and resolve needs and problems in the Marine industry in the territory. Perform complex analysis work and identify and resolve strategic problems. Develop and meet expectations in delivering results, identifying and recommending alternative courses of action, make timely decisions and develop greater communication skills. Work with other Caterpillar units, customers, and suppliers to negotiate, build consensus and achieve compromise. Counsel accounts in developing improved processes and solutions to achieve business and sustainability goals with Caterpillar OE and Aftermarket solutions. Establish KPI’s with each account to measure progress. Responsible for personal development and continual learning through experience and staying abreast of technology changes. Counsel accounts and support projects in and outside the territory with the support of the Segment Managers and other Marine Account Managers, Marine Product Health team, and Marine Dealer Development team. Accountable for engine and parts sales variance and travel & entertainment budget within the assigned territory. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or a related engineering field and 8 Years of experience in Marine Diesel Engine Market and Technical Products, Marine Applications, and Dealer distribution systems or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Consultative selling of high-dollar value commercial products and services; (2) Power BI and Microsoft Business Applications; (3) After-market service management and delivering services to large international customers; and (4) Project management in supply chain related role. Travel: 40% domestic and international to visit client sites. Foreign Language Requirement: Spanish.
