What will you do?
You will be working in our distribution center with a top-notch automation system - We are fulfilling thousands of e-commerce orders daily all across the US from our facility in NJ. You will be a key actor of a talented and dedicated team with experience managing operations and automation.
You are responsible for:
1. Maintenance/ Automation
- Ensure the operational efficiency of all the automation and mechanical systems: good to person picking, robotic arms, sortation system, conveyor, printers. You are making a huge impact on the results of the facility by reaching the targeted KPIs of the automation.
- Supervise, train, and coordinate employees of the maintenance department
- Completion of repairs and maintenance in common areas and building interior and exteriors as needed
- Accountable for annual repair and maintenance budgets.
- Develops, manages, and continuously improves functional infrastructure such as:
- Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance Program
- Maintenance work order process
- Maintenance inventory management and control processes
- Skills development and training programs
- Departmental metrics
- Maintenance training and mandatory usage
- Coordinate outside service, i.e., electrical, mechanical, and trades contractors.
- Identifies, justifies, and implements sustainability-focused improvements to the facility and warehouse processes.
2. Health and safety of the warehouse employees
- Implement workplace safety/security policies and standards within the warehouse, Raises awareness, at all levels of the organization, of the impact of safety issues, whether legislative or best practice
- Leads implementation of safety policies and practices
- Ensures compliance with OSHA guidelines
- Audits and reports on safety performance to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Trains staff on safety issues and programs
- Conducts accident investigations and leads corrective action implementation
What skills do you have?
- 3-5 years of experience in management/project management/engineering/safety/logistics or any other relevant fields
- Experience with any kind of automation is required.
- Any experience within operations and/or OSHA requirements is a plus
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Hands-on and start-up mindset. You are working in a warehouse environment; you need positive energy and natural care for the people
