We are seeking a talented Wealth Advisor who is looking to contribute to a growing investment management and trust company. This individual will be responsible for creating and growing long-term, trusted relationships with prospects, clients and credit union partners in and/or near Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, this individual will proactively develop new opportunities while managing the day-to-day administration of agencies, IRAs, trusts and estates. Our ideal candidate will have a growth mindset and passion for service and helping people define and attain their financial goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain referral networks within assigned credit unions and in the community to build and grow relationships and new business opportunities.
- Actively call on potential clients to identify needs, make proposals for new business and secure new relationships.
- Develop long-term, trusted relationships with clients and deliver customer service that exceeds expectations.
- Manage client relationships by deeply understanding their needs, generate innovative solutions and strategies, and promptly respond to and resolve client needs.
- Stay informed of new developments and offer new solutions to enhance services.
- Utilize financial planning to add value for clients, retain relationships and identify additional opportunities.
- Provide account administration and maintenance which includes setting up new accounts, managing special distributions, assessing tax liabilities and planning and approving expenditures.
- Ensure accurate administration of accounts to ensure accounts meet all compliance standards.
- Develop relationships and coordinate with members of the FCT team possessing subject matter expertise (i.e. investments, trusts, estates, financial planning, etc.) that can, from time to time, benefit clients.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree required or prior experience in related field.
- 5+ years' experience within financial services or trust environment preferred.
- Ability to develop, create and grow new and existing relationships.
- Experience achieving reasonable annual new assets and performance goals.
- Active in community and business organizations.
- Strong interpersonal skills: The ability to influence, motivate and proactively build relationships.
- Ability to help others resolve problems and make recommendations.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret various legal documents.
