Intermediate Plumbing Engineer | Commercial, Healthcare, Transportation or Critical facilities

Description:
Immediate need for a Plumbing and Fire Protection Design Engineer to work in close contact with and effectively interact with the internal design team as well as clients and consultants. The Plumbing Design Engineer will produce drawings and prepare calculations. Great opportunity for an Engineer with project design experience. Need a solid knowledge of systems design with the ability to communicate design concepts through sketches and renderings.
Responsibilities:
Produce plumbing drawings consistent with client requirements and standards
Prepare calculations, reports, and specifications
Perform fire suppression system selection, prepare preliminary designs, and create performance specifications
Preparation of existing facility diligence, sustainability analysis, and feasibility reports
Properly direct CAD/Revit personnel
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of three to seven years of experience working in a consulting firm (MEP, A/E, AEC) in the Plumbing Design field
Knowledge of the Plumbing trade, and building codes
Detailed knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers and the ability to make proper selections
Certified Plumbing Designer (highly preferred but not required)
REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP a MUST
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
LEED accreditation desired. EIT or PE desired. Or should be on the road to obtaining a license
