P.F. Candle Co. is hiring a full-time Store Manager to join our Los Angeles flagship in Echo Park. The Store Manager serves as the main point of contact between our in-store retail associates, organizational team members, and our growing California customer base.
POSITION: Full Time, Hourly
START DATE: October-November 2024
SALARY: $71k/year
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Operations
- Manage daily operations including: opening and closing duties, customer care needs, POS processes (including cash management), and re-ordering of supplies.
- Responsible for overall cleanliness and organization of store, as well as any needed maintenance; ensures associates complete daily tasks to maintain store presentation.
- Build monthly staff schedule with business needs and associate availability in mind.
- Merchandise and style the store within the P.F. aesthetic and guidelines, actively communicating updates to Creative Director.
- Responsible for profitable operations of location by achieving sales goals and properly managing store budgets, including but not limited to: labor, inventory, and supplies.
Store Presentation & Experience
- Represent P.F. and company values at all times by actively engaging with customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that offers approachable fragrance guidance via authentic and personal connections.
- Collaborate with Marketing on any shop events, taking lead on in-store execution.
Team Management & Leadership
- Manage team of associates, providing proper direction, performance evaluations, and support to meet goals and encourage professional development.
- Foster employee engagement and collaborate with Sales Director to maintain connection between the shop team and larger organization.
- Maintain organization of store responsibilities, including: SOPs, workflows, performance standards, and delineation of responsibilities.
- Develop strategies to further sales goals, customer engagement, and product knowledge.
Sales & Product Expertise
- Collaborate with Sales Director to create realistic KPIs and shop metrics; track and report on progress on as frequent a basis as necessary.
- Meet sales goals by applying friendly yet proactive sales techniques, such as fragrance or product suggestions and upsell tactics; train associates on appropriate strategies.
- Share customer feedback, as well as store victories and opportunities along with any actionable solutions for pain points.
- Coordinate with Sales Director and Marketing team on execution of in-store promos and campaigns.
Inventory and Buying
- Manage store inventory by comparing sell-through data with available product; submit PO transfer requests and work within provided budget.
- Maintain highest standards for inventory cycle counts, reporting to the Inventory team and Sales Director while taking accountability for any inaccuracies.
- Submit purchase orders for store expenses working within monthly budgets provided by Operations team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manager or manager-in-training experience in a retail environment required.
- Available to work 5 days a week including weekends, holidays, and in-store events.
- Goal-oriented, results driven with innate interest in narrow and broad metrics analysis.
- Exceptional customer service skills with at least 2-3 yrs experience in customer-facing role and/or sales.
- Passionate about building strong, effective, and collaborative teams.
- Able to quickly identify problems and customize solutions suitably while keeping cool under pressure.
- Interest in learning about P.F. products and enthusiasm for brands with a similar mission is a plus.
- Must take punctuality seriously!
