Join the BDP Team! We're hiring a Delivery Driver. *ALL BDP EMPLOYEES MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED. *
Job details include, but is not limited to:
• Transporting food and equipment to various locations, offices and homes in a safe and efficient manner
• Verifying each order leaving the kitchen
• Ensuring timely delivery, and either handing the food off to the client, setting-up up a buffet solo or assisting client with set-up
• Preparing kits for jobs (paper goods, equipment, etc)
• Maintaining the fleet of 5 company delivery vehicles: refilling fuel, cleaning them, taking them in for service
• Maintaining, organizing and cleaning the warehouse of event equipment and supplies
• Making minor repairs and assembling equipment
• Packing kits for jobs and events
• Moving tables, chairs and other equipment around our building and setting up as directed
• Working events when needed as an assistant
• Running errands for the kitchen and office
• Performing other related tasks as needed
Requirements:
• Valid driver's license and safe, clean driving record
• Valid working documents
• Familiar with and comfortable navigating Chicago
• Must be able to drive mini vans or cargo vans
• Flexible schedule with ability to come in early or stay late
• Must have a great attitude and give excellent customer service experience
• Must be able to read and speak English and communicate with clients
• Must be punctual and reliable - we do not tolerate tardiness
• Must be able to work well with a team and independently
• Must be physically able to lift over 50 pounds, some bulky items
• Must be physically capable of standing or sitting for long periods of time
• Must be able to handle stressful situations in a cool manner
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with a task
Schedule:
• Varies week to week but mainly Monday-Saturday. Some deliveries may require a 6am start time, some days may be later. Usually at least $30 per delivery.
