Position: Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Kansas City, MO
Work Type: Contract with possibility to extend!
Work Shift: Standard Business Hours, (40 hours a week)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused HR Coordinator to serve as the initial point of contact for employee inquiries and provide local HR support located in Kansas City, MO. This role is essential for ensuring employees have access to HR services and information, and supporting the implementation of HR initiatives at the facility. The HR Coordinator will collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to execute tasks that require on-site support, assisting with various HR functions, compliance, and employee engagement activities.
Education & Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree required (Required)
  • 2+ year(s) of relevant HR experience (Required).
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Employee Support & HR Programs:
    • Assist in implementing HR programs and initiatives in collaboration with the HR Business Partner and local managers.
    • Guide employees and managers to the appropriate HR resources, including self-service portals and HR service centers.
    • Act as the local liaison for HR Centers of Excellence to ensure smooth program execution.
    • Respond promptly to time-sensitive HR issues and assist in safety or security emergencies impacting the facility.
  • Employee & Community Engagement:
    • Support employee engagement and community events.
    • Coordinate employee recognition programs and service award events.
    • Distribute HR communications and support employee activity groups.
    • Assist in executing facility action plans based on engagement surveys and employee feedback.
  • HR Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure compliance with HR policies and processes.
    • Maintain confidential employee relations data and assist in documentation and reporting.
    • Support local recruitment processes, including posting jobs, coordinating interviews, and facilitating orientation programs.
    • Assist with compliance initiatives, including preparing for audits and maintaining legal postings.
    • Support learning and development programs, helping to track progress and completion of development plans.
  • HR Reporting & Administrative Support:
    • Produce standard HR reports as required.
    • Assist employees with return-to-work processes and leave of absence management.
    • Support benefits enrollment and salary/incentive planning.
    • Perform other duties as assigned and uphold the companys mission, values, and code of conduct.
