The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, a nationally renowned, top-tier medical institution, seeks a dynamic, team-oriented Senior Physician/Faculty Recruiter to join its Office of Physician/Faculty Recruitment and Retention. The Senior Physician Recruiter will be responsible for all tasks associated with successfully recruiting physicians for faculty and non-faculty positions (clinical/basic science) within the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and clinical roles within Temple Health. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established and growing physician/faculty recruitment and retention program at one of Philadelphia's leading academic medical centers, Temple Health which is home to more than 1,000 physicians and scientists who share the mission of bringing innovative treatments to patients. Prior experience working in an academic medical center, health system, hospital, or pharma with exposure to physician recruitment is preferred - clinical and/or basic science. The Senior Physician/Faculty Recruiter will manage all assigned searches including clinical and basic science physician/faculty searches and non-faculty positions from sourcing, initial candidate inquiry, and screening to appointment confirmation. Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge and experience of the full-cycle recruitment process, including a variety of the field's concepts, best practices, and procedures. A comprehensive understanding of medical and surgical specialty areas, and strong time management, negotiating, and closing skills are required. The physician recruiter is strongly preferred to be highly skilled at candidate procurement tasks, including utilizing innovative and current best practices, networking, direct sourcing, social media, referrals, online publications, and other electronic platforms. The Senior Physician Recruiter will interface and strategize with physician and administrative leadership on faculty and non-faculty vacancies. Additional responsibilities include: presenting appropriate CV's to search committees for further review/evaluation; serving as the liaison between candidates and the department, and responding to candidate inquiries throughout the recruitment process; working with TUHS, HR on recruitment for non-faculty physician hires; creating reports for senior management, as needed; developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets, and summarizing and presenting data, as required; and participating in the candidate site visit process. The Senior Physician Recruiter may also contribute to the planning and execution of various recruitment-related initiatives and partner with the Assistant Dean, Physician/Faculty Recruitment and Retention, to create and execute strategic recruitment plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University Hospital and Health System. Superior presentation, communication, and time management skills, including managing multiple tasks simultaneously and working independently in a fast-paced environment, are also required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with at least six years of related recruitment experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: *Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite to include advanced skills with MS Word and MS Excel. *Demonstrated knowledge of current trends and best practices related to candidate procurement. Intermediate to advanced user of social networking sites and their capabilities such as Facebook and LinkedIn. *Ability to work in a complex, fast paced environment. *Proven ability to build and maintain candidate networks. *Demonstrated negotiation and collaborative skills, along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with physician faculty, healthcare practitioners, and administration at all levels. *Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. *Ability to work independently and in a team environment. *Demonstrated customer service skills, which include responding to customer needs and requests in a timely manner. *Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to be an effective interviewer. *Demonstrated strategic thinking skills, with a strong attention to detail. *Ability to handle confidential information. *Must be able to travel locally, regionally and nationally, as needed. *Please include a Cover Letter and Resume Preferred: *Experience with healthcare recruitment (clinical, basic science) experience strongly preferred. *Extensive knowledge of medical and surgical clinical specialty areas and strong closing skills.
