OSI Laserdiode, a division of OSI Optoelectronics has an opening for a Production Test Technician. The Production Test Technician will perform functions associated with all production test operations including production testing, calibration, modification, troubleshooting and limited repair of equipment used in production testing. This individual will also interface with engineering, manufacturing operators and manufacturing management. Primary equipment responsibilities include laser pulse drivers, oscilloscopes, electro optic characterization equipment, leak checking equipment and environmental test chambers. In addition, this individual will process maintenance and operator training as well as production support when required.

Responsibilities
  • Performs normal electrical set up of test equipment.
  • Perform production testing of high-power laser products.
  • Perform operator training and documentation support as it relates to production testing processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking & yield data as required.
  • Monitors test equipment parameters for production.
  • Reports any test inconsistencies to supervisor.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity working with computers and MS office programs required.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the business language (English).
