We are seeking a talented and experienced Group Product Manager to join our dynamic team and drive the development and success of our product portfolio. As the Group Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading our product management team and driving the strategy, planning, and execution of our product roadmap. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including fulfillment, accounting, content, data, and engineering to develop and deliver innovative experiences that meet the needs and desires of our customers. You will have the opportunity to shape our product vision, identify market opportunities, and ensure the successful launch of new products.

As the Group Product Manager for our Platform Teams, you will be the driving force behind coaching and guiding individual product managers within the ERP, Fulfillment, Data, PIM, and Merchandising domains. This pivotal role involves coaching and mentoring your direct reports, as well as aligning and organizing high-level roadmaps, stakeholder management, and communication strategies. This role reports to the director of product and works closely with the group product manager of eCommerce and the related business leaders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Product Strategy and Roadmap:
    1. Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
    2. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify new product opportunities and improve existing offerings.
    3. Define and prioritize product roadmap initiatives based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.
  2. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    1. Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product enhancements.
    2. Work with stakeholders to define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
    3. Lead and motivate a team of product managers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to foster their professional growth.
  3. Product Development and Execution:
    1. Drive the end-to-end product development process, including ideation, concept development, prototyping, testing, and launch.
    2. Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery, while balancing business priorities and technical constraints.
    3. Monitor and analyze product performance, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  4. Product Lifecycle Management:
    1. Own and manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to retirement, ensuring products are aligned with customer needs and market demands.
    2. Conduct post-launch evaluations and iterate on product features and experiences based on customer feedback and data analysis.
  5. Team Leadership:
    1. Lead a high-performing group of product managers; providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
    2. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages cross-functional collaboration and creative problem-solving.
    3. Establish clear goals, objectives, and performance metrics for the group, regularly reviewing progress and providing feedback.
    4. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align product development strategies with the company's overall vision.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the ecommerce or retail industry.
  3. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing consumer-facing products.
  4. Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience with product management tools and processes.
  5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  8. Passion for the outdoors and familiarity with outdoor gear and equipment is highly desirable.
