Responsibility Summary
To coordinate the multidisciplinary response to sexual abuse investigations as well as to contact families subsequent to an abuse report and schedule forensic interviews and medical exams in a time-sensitive manner.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary child sexual abuse, physical abuse and witness to violence investigations including scheduling forensic interviews and/or services only cases
  • Collaborate with the ChicagoCAC Medical Clinic to schedule medical exams for children who meet the criteria for the exam or upon request
  • Conduct family intake and provide initial information to families prior to arrival to the ChicagoCAC
  • Arrange for special needs of families and transportation
  • Prepare, copy and distribute Investigative Intake Summary to multidisciplinary team
  • Secure, copy and distribute relevant reports pertaining to investigation
  • Conduct disability and/or mental health screenings and refer to appropriate staff
  • Enter data into the ETO system.
  • Participate in daily morning meetings, case review and staff meetings
  • Participate in supervision, professional and on-going training activities
  • Perform other tasks as directed
Discretion
The Family Services Coordinator does not have a range of discretion or independent decision-making.

Relationships
The Family Services Coordinator works closely with the Director of Investigative Services, Investigative Services Team, Advocacy Team, and ChicagoCAC Multidisciplinary Team.
Qualifications
Minimum educational requirement of Bachelor's degree in a human service field. Exceptional organizational skills are required. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and possess strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

    • PTO goes up to 40 days after 5 years.
    • Additional PTO for FMLA-related reasons up to 20 days.
    • A remote work policy that provides flexibility in work hours so long as operational needs are met.
    • Regular expert training on evidence-based therapy modalities, which includes being able to earn Continuing Education Units.
