The Material Control department is responsible for the total material function the Sturgis Plant including planning and procurement, receiving, storage of all inbound items and their movement through the plant, production line support, production scheduling, palletization, finished product storage, distribution, MRO/stockroom procurement, and computerized documentation of the below activities.Control of qualityandsimplemachineadjustmentswhereapplicableClean thepalletizerandassociatedequipment includingconveyorlinesandoverheadnetsthroughoutthewarehouse.Provideaccurateaccounting of finishedproductprocessedthroughthepalletizerAccuratelyinputbatchinformationintoCambar, affixtagstodesignatedpallets of manufacturedgoods, andmaintaininventorycountrecords.Enter thebatchcountintotheCambarsystemassuringaccuracy for producttraceabilityandauditsResponsible for performing GMP -Pull Case conveyor Daily Area ChecklistResponsible for puttingawaypalletizedproductinthewarehouse. ​Operatethefinishedgoodspalletizer, theslipsheetdispenser, thepalletloaderandthestretchwrapperandperformsminoradjustmentstotheequipment.Requiredtobeabletoset-upandloadtheassociatedequipment.AccuratelyinputbatchinformationintoCambar, affixtagstodesignatedpallets of manufacturedgoods, andmaintaininventorycountrecords.EnterthebatchcountintotheCambarsystemassuringaccuracy for product traceabilityandaudits.VerifybatchquantitybetweenCambar System andcomputerizedwarehouse systems – troubleshootanydiscrepancy.Runqueries, verifycountsand RECO problems.Operateforklifttruckinperformance of duties.Obtaining a forkliftlicenseandcompletedailyequipmentinspection.Complywithallpertinent GMP and SMP requirements.You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDSelf-motivatedandpossesstheabilitytoperformwithminimumsupervisionAdeptatdealingwithpeopleunderhighpressureandin a constantlychangingenvironmentForkliftoperationincludinghighstacking of finishedproductAbility to follow verbal instructionsAbility to read, write, and follow simple written directionsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, divide decimals and fractionsAbility to read gauges and instrumentsPreferred QualificationsTechnical college computer operations coursesMechanicallyadeptwith a goodmathematicalbackgroundPalletizeroperation experienceincludingconveyors, slip-sheetdispensers, andpalletdispensers.Stretchwrapperoperation experienceMainframenavigationanddataentryin AMAPS​In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
