Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performing hydrological calculations, including the use of hydrological models;
- Completing hydraulic design calculations for surface water infrastructure, such as channels, culverts, pumps, pipes, weirs, and retention ponds;
- Working with hydrological and water quality data, including the use of advanced statistics and machine learning;
- Performing water and mass balance calculations, including the use of simulation software;
- Assisting in the preparation of design drawings, calculation packages, and technical reports;
- Field work as needed, including collection of meteorological, flow, and water quality data.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- At least 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Coursework in hydrology and hydraulic design (required)
- Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (required)
- Experience with computer models, such as HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, GoldSim, and PHREEQC (preferred)
- Experience with statistical analysis (preferred)
- Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R (preferred)
- Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
