Complete managerial accounting updates to provide actionable reports to leadership. Assure accurate financial reporting by managing general ledger transactions, processing cost updates, overseeing accounts payable operations, oversight of fixed assets and conducting pricing reviews
Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the accounts payable process including but not limited to 3 way match, invoicing, vendor creation and payment
  • Maintain fixed asset ledger and depreciation schedule
  • Update managerial accounting reports to support leadership requests and prompt monthly decision making
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts
  • Assist with month end close process
  • Assist with implementation of document management software and creation of workflows
  • Work with Purchasing to understand purchased part and raw material costs, and make timely changes in the manufacturing system accordingly
  • Conduct pricing reviews and report margin change monthly
  • Establishes and verifies product costing and inventory valuation for accuracy
  • Complete inflation analysis to monitor product costs overtime
  • Support periodic and/or annual inventory counts
  • Assist with audit process and compliance with SPIs
  • Assist Operations with projects as needed
  • Performance of other key projects to achieve overall department and divisional objectives
  • All other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications and Experience Levels:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 2+ years in an Accountant role
  • Cost Accounting experience preferred
  • Must possess basic mathematic skills and the ability to analyze figures
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to establish priorities and organize efficiently
  • Knowledge of MS Office, QuickBooks, and other accounting software is essential
  • Experience using Misys or other form of Manufacturing System software is preferred
