MCC is currently seeking an ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN. Individual will be responsible
for assembling and/or repairing products using hand tools, power tools, and lifting
equipment. As an assembly technician, your responsibilities include using engineering
designs to piece together products, often with a team, and assisting with quality checks
on the final products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Perform equipment assembly using hand and power tools according to engineering drawings, instructions, and procedures
  2. Perform component installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting of components as required
  3. Perform cleaning of all parts as per established cleaning procedures
  4. Perform precision calibration and advanced adjustments using testing instruments
  5. Conduct product testing and performance testing and record the results
  6. Perform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high-quality products
  7. Develop assembly and test procedures to promote production of quality product
  8. Maintain work area clean, safe, and orderly
  9. Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of the essential duties
  10. Work with and around hazardous materials, as well as at heights and in confined spaces in the performance of these essential duties
  11. May be required drive a vehicle to various jobsites throughout working hours. Maintain valid driver's license and driving record that meets company policy
  12. Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  13. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for employee job performance
  14. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Exposure to varying outdoor conditions, loud noise, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, varying fumes or odors; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; and work in ditches/excavations
  • Work at heights, such as by working on ladders, scaffolds, platforms, tops of single and multi-story buildings, as well as working in confined spaces such as underneath single story and multi-story buildings
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
  • Must be able to perform manual and repetitive tasks and body movements including standing and/or walking for long periods of time, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying
  • Must be able to complete job duties proficiently while adapting to changing demands and priorities
  • Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time to perform duties in a safe manner
SAFETY SENSITIVE
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position because it includes as part of
the job duties operating a motor vehicle, operating, maintaining, and monitoring of
heavy equipment and machinery, and working with and around hazardous materials, at
heights, and in confined spaces. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could
result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety of the employee and others, the
employee must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long
periods of time while operating a motor vehicle, operating, maintaining, and monitoring
heavy equipment and machinery, and while working with and around hazardous
materials, at heights, and in confined spaces.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with other employees
  • Ability to perform precise measurements
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints/engineering diagrams
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to complete daily tasks with limited supervision and minimal errors requiring re-work
  • A current valid driver's license is required
