Role Overview
The Human Resources Administrator (HRA) will assist in the daily functions of the Human Resources department including assisting with recruitment/onboarding and compiling and maintaining records, supporting biweekly payroll administration, and communicating company policies and practices. This position serves as a liaison between the HR department and employees for effective communication and conflict resolution.
Areas of Responsibility
  • Responsible for recruitment tasks such as reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens and interviews.
  • Assist candidates with pre-hire requirements (profile creations, I-9 entries ensuring compliance) and scheduling /coordinating new hire orientation and training sessions.
  • May assist with or take lead for organizing employee recognition programs, events, and activities to celebrate achievements.
  • Provides support to the HR team including data entry, filing, and record-keeping. Compiles and maintains electronic employee records and is responsible for keeping employee databases/HRIS updated.
  • Supports as back-up bi-weekly USPL payroll processing and documentation as well as the weekly temporary agency payroll reporting.
  • Train new approvers on ADP timecard review and leave approval; assist managers having trouble accessing/ completing their direct reports timesheets.
  • Responds to employee questions on company policies, payroll, paid sick and vacation time, FMLA, etc. promptly and professionally. Escalates issues to HRBP as required.
  • Supports internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department. Escalates issues to HRBP as required.
  • Maintains current in HR best practices to offer ideas for improving workplace efficiency.
  • Tracks HR metrics and completes assigned or ad hoc department reporting on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as required.
  • Contributes to the overall success of the Human Resources Department by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned, acting as a back-up for other positions as needed, maintaining high levels of accuracy, maintaining a professional demeanor and appropriate levels of confidentiality, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintains information on communication boards changing information routinely to ensure information is current as instructed.
  • Monitor HR office supplies, employee required forms, brochures & booklets and replenish as needed.
  • Participate in all job-related safety training and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Flex hours when necessary to accommodate the multi-shift population.
  • Assist HR team with special projects.
Requirements
Education & Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Humann Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of HR experience
  • Knowledge of HR employment-related laws, practices, and procedures
  • HRIS experience is preferred as is experience with payroll systems.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP and SHRM membership preferred in order to stay current with HR best practices.

  • Must have attention to detail and organized
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite; advanced experience with Excel
  • Knowledge of general office procedures including filing, correspondence, scheduling etc.
  • Highly motivated and having the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to deliver in person employee presentations

Work Environment (Office, Warehouse, temperature extremes, etc.):
  • Ability to navigate office, lab, and/or plant floor working environments.

  • Primarily located in an office environment where temperatures are controlled for heat and air conditioning.
  • Occasionally walks through warehouse or manufacturing workplace and will be required to wear appropriate PPE for each work area including safety shoes, hair net, safety glasses, face mask, gloves, or disposable jumpsuit.
