The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education Coordinator is responsible for supporting STEM sites locally and across the country as needed. This position will provide ongoing support with curriculum organization and site activities, which promote learning and encourage the development of science, math, and social skills. This position reports to the Assistant Director of STEM. This position also includes project management responsibilities as it relates to various STEM events within the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, Inc. (CRSF). 


Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the external trainer to plan training opportunities focused on the CRSF STEM curriculum.

• Responsible for CRSF STEM Center trainings both in person and virtually

• Responsible for assisting local trainers with logistics and coordination of training opportunities.

• Coordinate with the Assistant Director of STEM on training agendas, VIP ribbon cutting and school/community center product assembly.

• Organize and format curriculum in preparation for utilization at sites.

• Coordinate with Assistant Director of STEM and CRSF Graphic design staff to maintain teaching practices on the Foundation website, creation of new lessons, and promotional pages.

• Creating frequent newsletters for program partners.

• Maintain current knowledge of the evolving field of science and STEM education theory and trends, hands-on and inquiry-based education.

• Communicate with school and community center entities to coordinate logistics of center installation and staff training. 

• Oversee center installations and ribbon cutting ceremonies. 

• Provide logistical and curriculum support for department initiatives and projects. 

• Manage relationships and act as a liaison between CRSF and partners.

• Manage and oversee operations of STEM projects including but not limited to deliverables, budgets, expense tracking, trainings, events, contract workers, and new/current STEM sites.



Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field or STEM Education and preferably a middle/high school experience.

• Experience creating curriculum tied to NGSS and other standards.

• 2-3 years of experience in developing and implementing curriculum-based programs preferably in a STEM field. 

• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

• High proficiency in use of technology, particularly the MS365 suite. 

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work and make decisions independently.

• Ability to lift up to 40lbs. 

• Must be able to travel to conferences and trainings in and out of state.

• Ability to maintain current teaching license.

• Strong writing skills for lesson plan creation and maintenance.



Preferred:

• Experience working with youth development programs.

• Understanding of/experience with engineering and coding fields.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
