Miller and Lents, Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in oil and gas reserves assessment and reservoir simulation and a proven track record of working independently. A strong work ethic and a positive attitude are essential. This role offers the chance to support our technical team across various functions, with opportunities for growth and expanded responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reservoir simulations and analysis to optimize hydrocarbon recovery and field development strategies.
  • Estimate and evaluate oil and gas reserves and associated economics with high accuracy, ensuring the reliability of projections.
  • Provide technical guidance for strategic development, field optimization, and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and deliver detailed written technical reports and recommendations to our clients
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and standardize data flow by utilizing macros, scripts, or other innovative tools.
  • Capable of working independently, but also very active and effective working in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering disciplines or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in reservoir engineering with emphasis on reserve estimation and reservoir simulation.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard tools and software (Petrel RE, ARIES, PHDWin, IHS Harmony, Petroleum Experts, Eclipse/INTERSECT, Spotfire, etc.).
  • Must have a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
  • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously while managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing and organization skills.
  • Sound understanding of classical reservoir engineering principles, forecasting, reserves estimation and classification, fluid and rock characterization.
  • Functional understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and reservoir. characterization issues and how they relate to reservoir performance.
  • Professional Engineering License is a plus.
