Position: Safety & Security Officer
Location: Honolulu, HI
Pay: Starting at $20.50/hour
Experience:
- 6 months of work experience as a Security Guard
- 1 year of experience in customer service
- Hospital and parking security experience required
Education:
- International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification
- BLS/First Aid certification required (must be attained within 30 days of starting)
Type: Full-time; Contract

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Support the hospital’s Security and Safety Management plan by providing security for staff, patients, visitors, and property
- Control parking on hospital grounds and complete required administrative duties
- Work effectively in a team during stressful situations and emergencies
Position Requirements:
- Strong situational awareness and problem-solving capabilities
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- General computer knowledge
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance
- Ability to operate various types of vehicles
- Dependable and adaptable to change
