Sr Systems Engineer

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Perform cost estimating of security systems.
2. Collect data and information from managers to create the most efficient system that meets the organization's needs by creating and manipulating AutoCAD drawings to provide the required deliverables.
3. Investigate and provide novel technologies by having the necessary insight and knowledge of client objectives.
4. Prepare budget and financial analysis for the deliverables.
5. Create innovative systems utilizing data analysis.
6. Enhance the system's functionality.
7. Create and distribute necessary drawings and manuals for the system.
8. Manage the design process, create material list and project scope documents.
9. Survey existing security systems and provide detailed upgrade or replacement information.
10. Create submittal packages of designed systems.
11. Create drawings, including floor plans, details, and signal flows using AutoCAD.
12. Coordinate engineering deliverable schedules with project stakeholders.
13. Create as-built drawings and documentation.
14. Prepare design documents, specifications, and drawings required for design/build projects.

Basic Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in security system design/engineering.
3. Experience with AutoCAD.
4. Fundamental understanding of Excel and Word.
5. A complete understanding of the principles and concepts of security systems.
6. Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
7. The ability to provide detailed material and labor cost estimates.
8. Proficient in reading and understanding RFP documents, contract specifications, technology, architectural and electrical drawings.
9. The ability to review any local, state, and federal codes and interpret these codes as related to the project.
10. Understanding of hardware schedules and how to apply to designs.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. DCJS.
