Manufacturing Technician
W2 Contract to Hire
Onsite, Vista, CA
$23-25/hr Weekly Pay + Benefits

The Manufacturing Technician I for Leica Biosystems is responsible for assembling mechanical and
optical components.
Responsibilities:
• Follow written procedures and perform all steps required to assemble Aperio Digital Pathology scanners and related products. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
o Electro-mechanical assembly
o Routing of cable and harness assemblies
o Building of optical sub-assemblies
o Visual and mechanical inspections of components and assemblies.
o Installing software
• Perform basic troubleshooting
• Identify proper focus of optical assemblies viewing through eyepiece or on computer monitor.
• Complete related paperwork
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent or in lieu of High School diploma, willing to accept 2+ years'
work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25 lb
• 1+ year's assembly experience in electromechanical production environment, ideally in medical
device.
• Identifying product and process issues. Clearly proposing and communicating improvements.
