Our client is changing traditional "rip and rebuild" renovations with its revolutionary surfacing product. We are the nation's leader in Architectural Fusion applications. We are a 20+ year old company experiencing record growth. We have an immediate need for an experienced Estimator to work in our office providing estimates to our expanding customer base If you have a background in estimation, a strong attention to detail and enjoy working in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
What Are Fusions?
Architectural Fusions are micro-thin, architectural overlays that come in over 2,000 patterns designed to emulate natural materials such as wood, stone, metal, fabric, and leather. Our client has a team of experienced Architectural Fusion installers who expertly install Fusions at customers all over the nation.
General Purpose:
Working with both the Sales and Operations teams, the Estimator will be responsible for cost calculations to determine the cost to complete a project and the quote to the customer following company margin guidelines.
Job Responsibilities
• Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labor and equipment
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors
• Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame
• Assessing risk levels associated with each project and communicating those risks to the necessary parties
• Occasionally provide onsite meetings, job site field measuring, and meet with clients to get necessary information to accurately bid
• Work directly with sales team to develop budgets and proposals for new and ongoing projects
• Provide subcontractors with labor estimates when necessary
• Monitoring the costs at different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs
• Responsible for working with accounting upon the completion of projects to create P&L reviews and estimating vs. actual costs
Experience and Expertise Required
• Bachelor's Degree or similar in preferred field
• 2+ years of experience preferred
• Ability to accurately read construction plans and perform material take-offs
• Basic math and computation skills
• Ability to work with and collaborate with a team
• Proficient in MS Suite and comfortable working within database programs.
• Basic understanding of commercial construction process and methods.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Scott enjoyed the hiring process and staffing the locations. He left that business to continue his passion for staffing and went to work for an IT recruiting firm placing full-time resources, working with both clients and candidates. In his career he has worked with full-time staffing firms, project based consulting firms and national contingent staffing companies.
We have all worked with consulting/staffing firms that have a process in place and will do what ever it takes to make their clients accept these processes. DSS understands that client success is wrapped around understanding their processes and procedures and working together to find a solution to their staffing/project needs.
DSS is not in the business of making our clients change their internal processes to fit our needs.
We listen to our consultants and candidates to understand what they are looking for in their career. It is important that we understand what is ideal for them and when we are working on the opportunity we can present that to them.

We are not an organization that is metrics driven, we have all worked with metrics driven organizations. You need to make a certain amount of calls/submittals/meetings each day/week/month. This is great if you are a machine but we all know that we are not. What makes DSS successful is the personalization that we strive for. You can't do that if you are forcing metrics, this causes actions that are not in the best interest of the candidate or our clients, this is not the targeted production that DSS wants.
