Job Summary

The Software Full Stack Developer at Nightwing CODEX will work with a team of developers to provide system engineering support for an analytic application, including:

  1. System support:
    • Daily system monitoring, health and status reporting, troubleshooting
    • Perform system maintenance and tech debt tasks
    • Collect reliability metrics
    • Collect user, application, and system metrics
  2. Automation:
    • Assist with automated testing, including scripting
    • Help improve deployment automation
  3. Provide system engineering support for agile development cycles:
    • Assisting with estimation, sprint deliverables, release notes, and monthly status reports
    • Requirements analysis, test case documentation including acceptance criteria for compliance certifications, STE/STN requirements, customer requirements, and long-term transition and decommissioning activities

Basic Qualifications

Typically requires 20 years' experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Technical skills: Java, latest JavaScript (ES6), AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, Webpack, Maven, Spring Boot, Tomcat, MongoDB, Docker, AWS. Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills

Experience with 3 or more of the following:

  • Technical leadership
  • Understanding of OS Internals (e.g., Windows)
  • Experience with Vulnerability Research
  • Experience reading or writing assembly (x86, x64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, SPARC, etc.)
  • Experience developing embedded systems
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, routing protocols, etc.)
  • Understanding of exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR
  • Experience using reverse engineering tools (e.g., IDA Pro, HexRays, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, objdump)
  • Experience using debuggers (e.g., gdb, WinDbg, OllyDbg)
  • Experience with BDI/JTAG
  • Experience with modern C++ development (e.g., RAII, C++11, C++14)
  • Experience building and using tools to find, exploit, and productize vulnerabilities in complex software systems
  • Experience with React, REST Services, Neo4j, Cypher, Material UI, TypeScript

Engineering/Other Technical Positions

The salary range for this role is $118,000 - $246,000. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
