Job Description

The Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) is seeking a talented and experienced Facilities Production Technologist to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and planning our facility maintenance schedules. As one of several Facilities Production Technologist, you will be responsible for scheduling, tracking and coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance within our facility's production processes to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity and correct priority order is achieved for maintaining NRF’s critical systems. You will work closely with various Department Supervisors and Facilities Production Managers to meet production targets while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities include:
Coordinate scheduling meetings with various Operations & Maintenance Departments to develop comprehensive short range and weekly production schedules for the execution of Construction Support, Preventative and Corrective maintenance, required training, etc. Optimizing schedule for resource utilization, resolving priority and resource conflicts.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate all requirements, outages, production windows, inspection, data collection, and support tasks. Schedule, track, oversee, and monitor the timely and successful execution of work.
Analyze production data/metrics to identify effective execution of plans, areas for improvement and implement efficiency measures and mitigation strategies. Prepares reports and routinely updates various levels of management of areas of responsibility.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; orAssociate's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; orBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field.
Preferred Skills

Past experience that increases the understanding of complex work/operations as well as the challenges with coordinating, directing, planning, and scheduling multiple aspects of complex work are highly desirable and are directly related to the job function of the technologist and their ability to effectively perform their role. Such as:
Experience running, leading, directing, or overseeing work and or operations.
Experience as a Lead, Line Lead, Work Group Leader, Supervisor, and/or acting for any of the positions.
Past experience coordinating, scheduling, or planning work, operations, or customer orders
Reviewing, interpreting, editing, commenting on work instructions, policies, regulations, specification, drawings, documentation, training materials, waste documents, records, and/or data.
Additional qualification and or certification for confined space, asbestos, PCB, spill, etc.
Training, mentoring, coaching more junior employees and/or team members.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a high level of organization.

Pay Range

$68,800.00 - $105,300.00 annually
