Position: Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic architectural QA/QC Manager to join the firm as part of our Data Centers team. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Our ideal team member is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of Quality Assurance standards to improve quality and timely delivery of projects.
- Compile, manage, and maintain Quality Control documents for use during the project and for archiving upon completion of the project.
- Provide Quality Control by reviewing Construction Documents for errors and omissions.
- Provide overall review of Construction Documents including implementing standards and checklists; reviewing for code compliance and constructability; providing red-lines; interactively following up and approving red-line correction; and providing advice to improve the quality of the Construction Documents.
- Interface and provide guidance to staff to ensure that the design fulfills requirements of Corgan and our Clients in a cost-effective, timely manner.
- Provide leadership on Construction Documentation.
- Be a key participant within the studio environment advancing shared knowledge and professional development.
- Provide mentoring for staff and cultivate an environment of shared knowledge and learning.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the entire design process, from inception through contract administration, with a focus on construction document phase of production projects.
- Professional registration required.
- Proven experience mentoring and developing junior architecture staff.
- A thorough understanding of industry codes, regulations and standards.
- Degree in architecture from an accredited program.
- Ability to manage through influence in a team environment.
- Ability to introduce efficiencies and modern techniques to existing processes.
- Strong communication, management, and mentoring skills.
- Experience in Bluebeam Studio is highly preferred.
- Experience in Revit is not required but desirable.
