Job Summary: The (REMOTE) Director, HRIS is a vital position with the ever-changing technology landscape and business demands; performing research, developing reports with the HR Analyst to identify trends to drive action; informing and advising leadership on change and improvement findings, as well as devising strategies for optimal business system processes and services to ensure efficiency and increased productivity while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and objectives. The Director, HRIS is a critical partner with other company departments providing strong system guidance, essential thinking skills, and system-impacted project management.
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaboratively define and execute the HR technology roadmap by working closely with leaders to identify and drive forward new, innovative capabilities for delivering scalable, best-in-class solutions.
- Build strategic relationships with key business partners and stakeholders; clearly articulate systemic needs in a tailored and impactful manner to diverse audiences and cross-functional partners.
- Provide insightful research, analysis, and support for identifying, evaluating, and strategically resolving high-value opportunities.
- Lead, inspire, and develop team members to achieve outcomes while maintaining adherence to key policies and procedures.
- Continuously enhance and expand in-depth knowledge of industry trends and standards to proactively introduce and drive process, tool, and methodology improvements.
- Ensure comprehensive measurement and quantitative understanding of end-user experiences—including pain points, opportunities for enhancement, and realized benefits.
- Perform in-depth root cause analysis and take ownership of issue resolution, driving outcomes through collaborative problem-solving.
- Confidently take on the role of project manager or team member on projects that require a system deliverable or affect key business outcomes.
- Actively promote the adoption and drive the integration of best practices and behaviors across all relevant teams.
- Communicate professionally, efficiently, and consistently with all internal and external contacts, ensuring alignment on key objectives.
- Demonstrate a strong strategic domain mindset, seamlessly blending business savvy, customer-centric insights, and technical proficiency.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach for unsafe practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
- Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
- Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.
- Execute team member performance improvement plans, progressive discipline, and terminations when appropriate per Company policy.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Human Resources Management, related field, and/or equivalent experience required.
Professional Experience
- 10+ Years of experience in Information Technology and Software Management/Implementation required.
- Strong background with proven expertise in compensation, benefits, recruiting, HR operations, budget/forecast/close processes, internal and external financial reporting, GAAP, SOX compliance, procurement, and relevant industry software and trends.
- Demonstrated understanding of internal human capital, financial, accounting, and audit systems and processes.
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing platforms, APIs, and complex technical capabilities, preferably with Workday, Varicent, or other HR-related software.
- Proven success in working with large, cross-functional project teams both within and outside of your domains.

- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access & PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Workday, Varicent payroll and other HR related software.
- Structured project portfolio management methodology.
- Working knowledge of standard project management methodologies.
- Strong domain mindset; a combination of business savvy, customer centricity and technical knowledge.

Pay Range: $165,000 - $170,000
