We are seeking a Cost Control Manager for a maintenance position in Geismar, LA. The Cost Control Manager (CM) will effectively manage and control cost, general accounting, conduct audits, create, and submit cost reports and project status summary reports. The CM will work closely with the project management team, keeping them informed about the impact and cost diversity or variances of the project.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years of cost control and analyst experience
  • BS degree or equivalent in one of the following: Business Administration, Construction Management, Accounting, or related curriculum
  • Must have a strong background in both cost control and cost analyst
  • Must have a working knowledge of basic to moderately complex cost accounting and cost engineering
  • Excellent mathematical skills with attention to accuracy and details
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to identify issues before a potential problem is created
  • Perform analytical tasks related to the workflow process and identify how the process will impact expected results
  • Working knowledge of El system modules (Timekeeping, Job Cost, Accounts Payable, Billing and Accounts Receivables)
  • Preferred working knowledge of various client systems (SAP, Track, E-payables)
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, leadership, motivational and communication skills with a professional appearance
  • Willingness to professionally represent the company while meeting with Clients and Management
  • Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
  • Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Coordinate all office activities, including all payroll, admin and timekeeper functions; implement and manage standardized cost code structure for all Turner lines of businesses; maintain thorough understanding of contract and commercial terms; understanding and administration of vacation policy for Turner employees; identify, research, and resolve all discrepancies; review and manage cost data, requisitions, POs, and vendor invoices; review all requisitions (materials, sub-contracts, and rentals) for proper cost coding and communication to purchasing; tracking and preparation of reporting for absenteeism and turnover; provide actual labor/man hour expenditures; set up all project tracking tools, project status reports, El reports, payroll, FCO and equipment logs; prepare project status summary report including safety, financial status, quality control metrics monthly and distribute to project management and the client representatives; prepare and distribute financial health KPI data to Turner Management; maintain project database / project status; ensure accurate and efficient invoicing, as well as payment status of all invoices; audit the entire financial process and make adjustments as necessary; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
