Position Profile

Weaver is looking for a Cybersecurity Consulting Manager to join our growing firm. In this role you will primarily focus on assessing strategy and risk, including program development, technical security testing, and tabletop exercises. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments and developing strategic cybersecurity programs for our clients. This will involve analyzing their current security posture, identifying vulnerabilities and threats, and providing tailored recommendations to mitigate risks effectively. You will assess the effectiveness of security controls, coordinate penetration testing, and identify the impact of real-world cyber incidents to evaluate incident response capabilities.

This role allows for remote work as part of our virtual office or can be hybrid in our physical office locations. Both work situations will require travel to client sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
  • CISSP or CISM certification
  • 5+ years of Consulting, Technology, IT, or Security experience
  • Significant working experience in the assessment, review, and recommendations over design, implementation, and operation of security principles, capabilities, and controls
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Experience leading client interviews
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of common information security standards such as: NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CSA Cloud Controls Matrix, CIS Critical Security Controls, ISO 27001/27002, and MITRE ATT&CK

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the design of security controls for multi-tier business solutions including the management (operation and maintenance) of assets, data, networks, and applications.
  • Understanding of Active Directory based Identity and Access Management and Authorization structures along with IDaaS and Federation technologies; including MS 365.
  • Experience with the integration of common infrastructure security technologies and solutions into business solution architectures including the integration of identity & access management, intrusion detection and prevention, security monitoring, and data encryption solutions.
  • Working familiarity with REST API and microservices architecture
  • Technical understanding of virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and public cloud offerings and experience designing security configuration and controls within cloud-based solutions in AWS and Microsoft Azure. This includes PaaS services (SQL, Service Bus, Service Fabric, Data Lake, PowerBI) in addition to IaaS (Compute, Storage, Serverless).
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
  • Cloud security certifications such as AZ-300 Azure Architect Technologies or similar
  • Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
