Job Requirements / Description

Manages warehouse activities to meet customer shipping requirements based on procedure by the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, Organize and Control warehouse’s overall operations including re-pack operation in relation to company objectives and set targets
Set up and maintain layout and space management; work organization chart; and procedures such as SOP, 5S.
Maintain housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area.
Ensure that workplace’s health and safety requirements are met, take responsibility for the security of the building and stock, and promote a culture that emphasizes safety
Manage stock control: the self-assured receipt, storage, retrieval, re-pack, and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into system.
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling between PPS and T4M; determining root cause; and issuing inventory discrepancy reports
Achieve financial objectives by monitoring annual budget; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Implement cost reduction principles in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities as well as improvement and development plans in line with lean material practices.
Organize all activities and assign jobs accordingly for staff.
Schedule personnel based on client-supplied schedules and meet all shipping window times
Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse administration

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow work procedures and work schedules, and expedite workflow
Perform job responsibilities in compliance with ISO/TS 16949; ISO 14001; and OHSAS 18001.
Follow written and oral instructions and follows standard procedures to improve efficiency.
Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives
Manage team and conduct staff performance reviews
Ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations
Lead continuous improvement initiatives
Plan and oversee cross training, general training, and on-the-job training activities for staff

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises employees in the Distribution Center. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include working with the Supply Chain Manager and Human Resources for interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Also included are assigning and directing work; appraising work performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints.
