Job Description
Operations/Supply Chain provides leadership and assistance in developing materials, logistics and manufacturing strategies to achieve business plans for all regions with seven North American manufacturing facilities and numerous outsourced fabricators and suppliers.
The Supply Chain Assistant manages supplier claim documentation, processes buy-out orders in a timely manner and provides general administrative support to Commodity Buyers within Central Purchasing and the Operations/Supply Chain team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage raw material transactions from multiple supplies
  • Creates stand-alone sales orders for buy-out products (e.g. insulation, doors)
  • Participates in special projects and continuous improvement projects as assigned
  • Reconcile monthly inventory for raw material and finished goods
  • Participates in logistics planning with internal and external partners
  • Supports the suppliers claim management process
  • Provides support for document control administration to include SharePoint site content and records retention requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in general purchasing administration
  • Knowledge of an ERP system such as ORACLE or SAP
Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications
  • College degree in a technical discipline
  • 3 years of Purchasing experience in an ERP environment
Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications with special emphasis on Excel
  • Proficient in Oracle ERP applications
