As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our dynamic team of both independent and internal sales representatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead and Motivate: Manage and lead a team of internal and independent sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets.
Market Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of the school and public library markets to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and campaigns to meet revenue targets and promote our extensive range of educational materials.
Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, libraries, and educational institutions.
Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with both internal and independent team members to ensure everyone is aligned with our goals.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance, track KPIs, and provide regular feedback and coaching to maximize productivity.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on team performance, market insights, and sales activities for management.
CRM Management: Oversee the use of Salesforce to track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the educational or library sector.
Demonstrated ability to manage both independent and internal sales teams effectively.
In-depth knowledge of the school and public library markets, including key players and market trends.
Strong leadership and motivational skills, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and strategic thinking to develop effective sales plans.
Proficiency in using CRM software, Salesforce a plus
Willingness to travel when necessary (up to 50%) to meet with clients, sales reps, or attend conferences.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred but not required).
