As a PTA, you will work closely with Physical Therapists to provide excellent care and therapy to patients in need, at the comfort of their homes. Description:
The Physical Therapist Assistant helps patients accomplish treatment plans and accept therapeutic activities by administering manual physical exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities, as well as applying assistive and supportive quality care. The PTA will assess and interpret evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians. The PTA will document patient care services by charting in patient and department records in compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Your duties will include:
- Follow-up visits with home health patients
- Continuing to meet eligibility requirements for home health services
- Maintenance therapy
- Driving is a requirement
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Assistant Therapy Assistant Program.
Candidates must possess California state licensure.
1 year of home health experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Candidates must possess strong caring interpersonal skills.
