Job Summary
The Sr Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for inventory management of their fulfillment center(s). This role provides support to the Fulfillment Center Operations Team and the Supply Planning Team through inventory control management and service management on supply-related constraints within the assigned fulfillment center(s).
Key Responsibilities
- Performs extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports from previous inventory reports to national purchasing trends.
- Incorporates inventory planning for highly seasonal and promoted products and ensure that fulfillment center and distributor inventory settings are updated accordingly.
- Supports Fulfillment Center Strategy Team to identify areas of opportunity for improved inventory management practices and network optimization.
- Monitors fulfillment center performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and drives improvement activities.
- Works closely with the Supply Planning Team to ensure inventory needs are met and any known constraints are communicated to distributors supported by the fulfillment center.
- Analyzes supply and demand imbalances and facilitates resolution throughout the supply chain.
- Allocates constrained parts in close coordination with Commercial teams.
- Proactively re-balances excess inventory between the fulfillment centers to ensure sufficient supply, improve inventory utilization, and minimize obsolescence.
- Assists in quantifying and defining scope for capacity, resource, logistics, and supply chain planning.
- Acts as super user for planning tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Technical or equivalent discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years working experience; including a role of similar responsibility/scale in Supply Chain, Operations, Strategy or related field.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex supply chain problems with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Experience in end-to-end supply chain management involving distribution, inventory management, and project management.
- Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze supply chain management problems to develop and implement practical solutions.
- Passion to drive continuous improvement through identification of root-cause solutions to key business problems.
- APICS Supply Chain Certification and/or Green Belt Certification preferred.
- Familiarity with the tools, methodologies, and disciplines of a Lean Six Sigma environment.
- Knowledge of how forecasting drives Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Finite Scheduling and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP).
- Prior experience in a high volume, fast paced, customer-focused supply chain.

- Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20+ lbs.
- May be exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Prolonged use of personal computer & telephone.
