Position Summary:
- The Housekeeping Associate , under general supervision, performs cleaning functions as assigned to provide a clean, germ-free environment for patients, visitors and staff.
- Performs cleaning tasks in assigned areas, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness by utilizing the Seven Step Cleaning procedure on a daily basis.
- Has access to clean supply areas including, but not limited to IV solutions, needles, and syringes for the purpose of obtaining and restocking linen and/or supplies.
- The job duties are to assist indirectly in providing patient care by ensuring a safe, healthful, and pleasant environment.
- Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange work-related information.
Shift: Full-time, Evening shift (40 hrs per week) 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Every other weekend required.
Location: Suburban Hospital, 8600 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 6 months relevant experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Salary Range: Minimum 18.00 per hour - Maximum 30.18 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
