Accredo Packaging, Inc. manufactures and supplies sustainable high added value flexible packaging predominantly for the pre-packaged foods and consumer products markets in North America. We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant for our Sugar Land, Texas facility.
In this position the Junior Account, under the direction of the senior accountant will be responsible for accounting activities associated with manufacturing operations. The individual selected will interact with all levels within the organization and will work with plant and corporate personnel in carrying out assigned duties.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
• Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintains historical records by filing documents.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
• Degree in Accounting (2-year degrees will be considered with equivalent experience)
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in all aspects of accounting
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and various accounting software packages
