Hours M-F 40 Hours
General Summary
This position manages the financial reporting process within the Financial Accounting and Reporting Department, including preparation of statutory financial reports, analysis and interpretation of entity level/subsidiary financial results and interpretation/application of GAAP/SEC reporting requirements.
All associates at Capital City Bank have access to confidential client information and must practice discretion at all times.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of consolidated financial statements and board level reports submitted to Bank Controller for review.
Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of schedules and disclosures for Form 10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings submitted to Bank Controller for review.
Review underlying schedules and supporting documentation prepared by the department colleagues for various company committees, board level reports, Form 10-Q, 10-K, and other ESC filings.
Support Bank Controller in accounting policy adoption, GAAP research, and preparation of journal entries for complex accounting matters, and overall management of financial reporting risk matters.
Assist Bank Controller in the interpretation of company financial performance.
Root cause analysis and documentation of financial statement level variances.
Will assist or complete various Regulatory reports (Call, Fed FRY).

Associated Duties
Provides additional support to Bank Controller, Executive Management and department colleagues including projects routinely assigned to support the department’s financial initiatives.
Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Required
The following KSAs are usually acquired through working experience and/or specialized course(s):
• GAAP/SEC Application
• Knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting Systems
• Strong Computer Skills
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Commitment to Deadlines
Education
Bachelor degree in Accounting from an accredited college required. CPA designation or in process of working toward CPA designation (with majority of exams passed) required.
Working Conditions

2. Involves direct contact with Bank associates within and outside of the Financial Accounting & Reporting Department, Executive Management, Bank Controller, external vendors, outside consultants, auditors, and analysts, and peer company representatives
3. Occasional overtime required as needed to complete job responsibilities and projects assigned
4. In the rare instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate or telecommute before, during or after, to ensure business continuity.
