As we grow, we're looking for a Business Development Representative to focus on identifying and securing government and federal staffing contracts.
Role Overview:
As a Government/Federal Business Development Representative, you will target government agencies, federal departments, and contractors, driving new business opportunities and revenue growth. This commission-only role is ideal for a highly motivated, self-driven individual who is familiar with the government contracting space and thrives in a results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and prospect government agencies, federal contractors, and relevant departments through targeted outreach, networking, and government contracting platforms.
- Client Engagement: Establish relationships with key decision-makers in federal agencies, understanding their specific staffing needs and positioning Private Label Staff as a strategic partner.
- Sales Process Management: Navigate the federal procurement process, managing the sales cycle from RFPs to contract negotiation and closure.
- Government Contracting Knowledge: Leverage understanding of federal contracting processes, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure successful engagement.
- Collaboration: Partner with the recruiting team to deliver on staffing solutions tailored to government specifications.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and contract progress.
- Proven track record in business development or sales, ideally within the government or federal contracting space.
- Familiarity with government procurement, contracting processes, and compliance regulations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage government officials and procurement officers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple RFPs and contracts.
- Experience using CRM tools to track and manage sales activities.
- Established contacts within the government or federal contracting community is a plus.
- 1099 commission-only position with uncapped earning potential based on successful contracts and placements.
